Orlaigh Heirloom Vines Red

Trousseau?  Cabernet Pfeffer?  Gros Verdot?  Mourtaou?  Let’s just call it ‘Heirloom Vines’.  The identity of these grafts has been much debated about, with folks just recently having started to put them through DNA testing at various sites that have taken budwood from the pre-prohibition-era vineyards serving as a source to many in the area.  Hibiscus and violet florality dominate, hovering over a core of red and blue fruit, all framed by chalky tannins and a counterpoint of briny acidity.
