Finca Torremilanos Montecastrillo Tinto

Producer Pablo Peñalba López began producing wines that moved away from the former practice of selling bulk wines to the local co-op. Pablo brought to light what this area was truly capable of, his son took the helm in the 2000's and returned to hand-harvesting, native-yeast fermentation, & biodynamic farming. Light tannin, medium body, easy drinking.

Bojo Do Luar Deu Bode Barrete

A blend of 25% Vinhão, 15% Bastardo, 20% Borraçal, 25% Arinto, and 15% Loureiro hand-harvested from vines grown in primarily granitic soils. Light, chillable with satisfying earthy notes. Ground chestnut flowers are added to the fermentation process to help stabilize the process and add a hint of florality.

65% Tempranillo, 10% Monastrell, 5% Garnacha Tinta, 5% Chardonnay, 5% Verdejo, 5% Viura, 3% Sauvignon Blanc, 2% Riesling

Fermented and aged in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright, juicy primary fruit flavors. The Tempranillo is fermented separately, and the rest of the blend is co-fermented.

Los Bermejos Listan Negro Maceration Carbonica

100% Listán Negro. This variety was wiped out by phylloxera in mainland Europe, but it manages to survive here in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, and in this example the berries are fermented as whole bunches, which preserves the bright fruitiness and minerality, even when chilled down a bit.
