Producer Pablo Peñalba López began producing wines that moved away from the former practice of selling bulk wines to the local co-op. Pablo brought to light what this area was truly capable of, his son took the helm in the 2000's and returned to hand-harvesting, native-yeast fermentation, & biodynamic farming. Light tannin, medium body, easy drinking.

The Bodega Bernabeleva (Bear's Forest) is where Juan Diez & Santiago Matallana Bulnes continue their great grandfather's dream of producing world class Garnacha from the arid region's sandy soils. Aged in old barrels and concrete, this is bright, high-toned Garnacha whose ripe berry flavors will pair with just about anything on the menu.

50% Grenache, 50% Carignan, bringing bold, rich, dense fruit. Notes of vanilla and spice, this is a complex wine meant to be thought over.

Organic blend of the native Spanish grapes Malvar, Macabeo, Aabillo, & Moscatel. Beautifully aromatic, mid-weight white, bursting with flavors of white flowers, peach, and fresh-cut citrus.

65% Tempranillo, 10% Monastrell, 5% Garnacha Tinta, 5% Chardonnay, 5% Verdejo, 5% Viura, 3% Sauvignon Blanc, 2% Riesling

Fermented and aged in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright, juicy primary fruit flavors. The Tempranillo is fermented separately, and the rest of the blend is co-fermented.

Biodynamically farmed Albarino from Rias Baixas in Galicia, Spain. Notes of crushed stones & citrus fruits, with a floral & mineral backbone.

Crisp, Organically farmed blend of 85% Verdejo & 15% Viura, fermented & aged in stainless steel tanks. Fresh, zesty flavors of citrus and green apple, complemented by subtle herbal notes.

86% Baga, 14% Bical from the chalky clay soils of Bairrada, Portugal. Primary fermentation in tank with wild yeast - secondary fermentation in bottle with 9 months sur-lie aging. No dosage at bottling. Fresh, vibrant, delicious bubbly.

Filipa Pato: winegrower in Bairrada. A graduate of the University of Coimbra as a chemical engineer, she refined her skills working harvests in Bordeaux, Mendoza, Margaret River, and right at home in Bairrada with her father, Luis Pato, the Baga Rebel. (In 2020 Filipa was elected Winemaker of the Year in Portugal by the Revista de Vinhos, the first Portugese woman to earn the title in 30 years.)
