Exclusively composed of the Ribolla Gialla grape; indigineous to Friuli on the Slovenian border of Italy. Fermented in Georgian amphorae buried underground, long maceration with wild yeasts and no temperature control. After fermentation, the wine rests again in amphorae for five more months and then is aged in large oak barrels for an additional six years, bottled without fining or filtering. This is the 2015 vintage, a serious benchmark wine of the region. Robust, tannic, dense rich yellow orchard fruits, dried apricot, walnut oil, full bodied, decant and serve at room temperature. Zero sulfur.

From southwestern France this Viognier is slightly less floral and perfumy than its Northern Rhone counterparts. Unoaked, it has refreshing hints of pear & stone fruits, with a racy acidity missing in most Viognier.
