Danielle Meunier is the fourth generation of her family to oversee this nine hectare estate situated in the heart of the Saint Emilion appellation. She took over in 1972, and has been meticulously tending these vines ever since, practicing strictly organic practices. The blend here is 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, & 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in concrete, then aged in barrels - 25% new - for 12-18 months. It's a natural Bordeaux, with its nose showing dried flowers, plum and a bit of cedar. Its acidity helps carry the weight of the wine, and it would be a fine choice with all the prime meats.
