Falkenstein Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben Krettnacher Euchariusberg

From 70-80-year-old ungrafted Riesling vines in the prime Gross Schock sector of the Krettnacher Euchariusberg vineyard, which was classified in the highest category on the old taxation maps. Fermented down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar, it offers a beautifully fresh herbal and spicy nose of candied lime, grapefruit zest, redcurrant, violet, & fresh almond. The wine is superbly packed into great ripe and juicy acidity, and the finish is beautifully tangy and playful.

Envinate Palo Blanco

100% Listan Blanco

100% Organic

vines grow untrained, the soil is worked by hand, and no chemicals are used

The grapes are hand-harvested, pressed full cluster into large concrete tank off the skins and fermented without malolactic occurring, then raised in two Friulian 2500L oval foudres for 10 months

Bottling is without fining, filtration or any added SO2.

Envínate ("wine yourself") was founded in 2005 by four winemakers—Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos, and José Martínez—who met while studying enology. Their project focuses on exploring distinctive parcels, primarily in the Atlantic-inflected regions of Ribeira Sacra and the Canary Islands.

Their collective aim is to create profoundly pure wines that clearly and concisely express the terruño of each parcel. To achieve this, their methods are guided by purity:

- No chemicals are used in the vineyards.
- Grapes are hand-picked and foot-trodden.
- Fermentation occurs exclusively with wild yeasts, often including a varying proportion of whole clusters.
- Wines are aged in old barrels and concrete, with sulfur added only at bottling, if necessary.

The result is a collection of truly honest and expressive Spanish wines.

Marquis De Calon Ségur St Estephe Bordeaux 2020

Château Calon-Ségur is one of the truly old guard Bordeaux estates, claiming "Third Growth" status in the famous 1855 Bordeaux classification. We're so grateful they produce a second label from their younger vines known as Le Marquis de Calon Ségur for us mere mortals. Unlike the big brother, this one is primarily Merlot, with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon making up the remainder.

Marcel Lapierre Morgon "N"

Lapierre is undoubtably the world's greatest Beaujolais producer, and their wines are as natural as they are traditional. Decomposed granite comprises most of their eleven hectares, and the vines are an average of 45 years of age. The "N" on the Morgon signifies that no sulfur was added at any point in the vinification, and the bottling comes from their oldest vines. Pure, unadulterated Gamay in all its glory.

The vines are farmed sustainably in transition to organic. The fermentation is with native yeasts, no fining is done, and aging is primarily in concrete with only a touch of oak.

Coudert Moulin-A-Vent Clos de la Roilette

From newly acquired estate vines comes this first vintage of the Couderts' first-ever Moulin-à-Vent. Vinification is identical to that for Roilette Fleurie wines: a traditional, semi-carbonic Beaujolais style. The whole clusters are harvested by hand and fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in open-top concrete tank. The wine is aged in large, old oak foudres for about 9 months before bottling.

Clos de la Roilette Cuvee Tardive Fleurie

100% Gamay from the oldest vines, which are from 80 years on up, on heavy clay soils with relatively little granite and quite a lot of the iron-like mineral manganese. Vinification is traditional, semi-carbonic Beaujolais style.  Maceration lasts around 18 days for the Cuvée Tardive, & the wine is aged in large, old oak foudres for about 9 months before bottling.

Shea Pinot Noir Estate Willamette Valley

Always the best example of Shea Vineyard as a whole in a given vintage, the Estate draws you in with lush red fruit and honey aromatics. The palate is beautifully balanced with savory flavors and smooth tannins.

"Native New Yorkers, Dick and Deirdre Shea first discovered Oregon wine from a recommendation made in their local wine shop in the late 1980’s. They were instantly wowed and captivated by the quality of wine from this young winegrowing region. Soon after, they made the decision to invest in a 100-acre piece of vineyard land in an untried area of the northern Willamette Valley, in what is now the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Their ambition was to grow grapes for some of the best winemakers in Oregon and beyond. More than 30 years later, that continues to be their greatest passion."

Virna Barolo Noi

The Virna Barolo Noi represents a blend of fruit from four separate villages in the appellation: Monforte d'Alba, La Morra, Verduno, and Novello. Noi, or "us" in Italian, is a little ripe and soft on the mid-palate, with spicy contours of cured tobacco and toasted clove. There are some earthy aromas as well with iris root or even a hint of truffle.
